After graduating high school (class 12th), students can the United States go on to college or university. It is known college or university study as "higher education."

Grading System

Just like American students, you will have to provide academic texts as part of your application for admission to the university or college. Academic lecturer is an official copies of academic work. In the United States, and this includes your "rows" and "grade point average" (GPA), which are measures of academic achievement. Usually classified sessions using percentages, which are converted to letter grades.

Grading system and the rate in the United States can be confusing, especially for international students. Interpretation of grades has a lot of difference. For example, two of the students who are studying in different schools, whether to submit the texts of the same university. Both have 3.5 GPAs, but attended one student on average in high school, while others attended the prestigious school that was academically challenging. University GPAs may be interpreted differently because the two schools have different standards dramatically.
Usually the school calendar begins in August or September and will last until May or June. The majority of new students starting in the fall, so it is a good idea for international students is also to begin university studies in the United States this time. There is a lot of excitement at the beginning of the school year, students on the composition of many great friendships during this period, because they are adjusted every new stage of academic life. In addition, it has been many students training courses designed to take them in sequence, beginning with the fall semester and continue until year.

It consists of the school year in many schools than two so-called "chapters". (Some schools use a three-term calendar known as the "third" system.) However, others are more general division in the quarter system of four items, including the optional summer cycle. Basically, if we exclude the summer session, either composed of the school year of two semesters or three quarter periods.
